DARTMOUTH COMMUNITY BOOKSHOP is run as a not-for-profit community co-operative, staffed by an experienced manager, with volunteer help. Buy your books from our friendly independent bookshop where you can enjoy the atmosphere.

The bookshop moved from 12 Higher Street to 9a Foss Street Dartmouth TQ6 9DW on February 20 2023. See you there! 

We replaced the famous Harbour Bookshop in Dartmouth when it sadly closed in 2011. It had been started by Christopher Robin Milne in the 1950s. We keep a special 'Pooh Corner' and lots of Winnie-the-Pooh books to celebrate our connection. 

We have a good selection of NEW books for children of all ages and adults.   Orders usually arrive in 24-48 hours. We are happy to give advice and share our favourite reads. We can arrange to post books direct from our wholesaler anywhere in the country. We also stock greeting cards and unique local postcards. We sell and redeem National Book Tokens.
